20% Azeclair (Azelaic Derivative) Serum:
A water-light Azelaic acid derivative (Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate, or PAD) formula to even the skin tone, normalise oil production and calm the skin.
WHY IT’S SPECIAL
Azelaic acid is a 3-in-1 clinically proven active that helps reduce blemishes, pigmentation and redness. This formula uses a new-generation water-soluble form called Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate (PAD) that has similar properties to Azelaic acid but enables a super-light, oil-free texture. The two strong points of PAD are to even the skin tone and to control excessive oiliness.
This formula uses 20% Azeclair, a solution containing 6% pure Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate (PAD). While 6% might not sound like a high number, when it comes to PAD, it is an outstanding amount. The molecule is effective already and typically used at 1-3%. Studies done by the ingredient’s manufacturer show that 3% PAD (or 10% Azeclair) is an effective amount in normalising oil production and evening the skin tone, while a study published in the Journal of Dermatological Treatment used 5% PAD for the management of rosacea.
aPAD is ideal if you are looking for an Azelaic Acid product that is also light in texture and layers well with other products. It is an all-skin type formula that we especially recommend, if you have pigmentation, extra oiliness or redness (rosacea).
Geek tip: Based on our experience, those who are sensitive to niacinamide tend to find aPAD an especially helpful addition to their skincare routine.

Great texture and non-irritating!
I use this to tackle my acne and PIH on my face. This formula is non-sticky and doesn’t sting my skin at all - at least my skin condition has not worsened. I would need to use it for a longer period to see if it’s effective.
