Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%

A skin brightening blend of Vitamin C and Alpha Arbutin to help reduce the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone, dullness, and signs of ageing.

WHY IT’S SPECIAL

Ascorbic Acid – a form of pure vitamin C – is considered an antioxidant superstar for its proven ability to even out skin tone, fade dark spots, and even improves firmness of skin. When combined with Alpha Arbutin, it forms a powerhouse combo of ingredients and the skin-brightening effect becomes even stronger. Arbutin is a plant-derived ingredient that breaks down into hydroquinone when applied to skin, making it extremely effective for fading hyperpigmentation.

With Vitamin C’s great abilities in UV protection, it makes it even better for use in the day under sunscreen for added coverage.

HOW TO USE

• Apply 1-3 drops across face and neck daily or as needed, pat or massage into skin until absorbed.

Use in the AM and/or PM.
For best results, use in the AM and follow with sunscreen for added photo-protective benefits.

GOOD TO KNOW

• This formulation is a water-free, stable solution, and may feel slightly "oily" for a few seconds after application, despite the fact that it is completely free of oil.

• Vitamin C and Alpha Arbutin are less stable in formulations that contain water and use of them combined in formulations containing water is highly discouraged. Allow products used before and after this step to be dry and absorbed completely. 

• Use sun protection if applied in the day. 

• Supplied in UV-protective brown tinted glass bottle to reduce light degradation of the product.

• Some products like the Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% have a chance of pilling or balling, which is when you find little bits of product coming off on your hands. If this happens, try using less product and patting it onto your face rather than rubbing it in. If the pilling continues, have a look at the other products you are using alongside this product, and try experimenting with another method of layering (e.g using this before other serums/treatments instead of after).

• Always conduct a patch test before use on unbroken skin.

• Should persistent irritation occur, stop use immediately and consult your local physician.
