Salicylic Acid 2% Masque

A jelly-like masque enriched with BHA (beta hydroxy acid) to gently slough off dead skin cells, unclog congested pores, minimising breakouts while simultaneously calming skin.

WHY IT’S SPECIAL

The first mask formula in The Ordinary’s range, this jelly-like facial masque is enriched with absorbent kaolin and clarifying charcoal that spreads to facilitate a deep cleanse, ridding congested pores of dirt and grime accumulated over time while soaking up excess oil on the surface of the skin – an exceptional companion for oily/blemish-prone skin.

The star of the show is the salicylic acid formulated in this masque that work wonders for congested, oily and lacklustre skin by buffing away dead skin cells on the surface and beneath the skin to reveal a brighter and clearer complexion. This impressive ingredient also helps to soothe inflammation and reduces existing blemishes while helping to prevent future breakouts. Together with the welcome additions of a moisture-replenishing squalane and glycerin to help balance the skin’s absorbent nature so your skin isn’t left feeling dried out.

(Tip: Salicylic Acid prevents and targets breakouts, making it a must-have especially in the current times of mask wearing!)

HOW TO USE

• After cleansing and on dry skin, apply an even amount across face and neck. Avoid contact with eyes.

• Leave on for no longer than 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water.

• Use once or twice a week.
  

Use in the PM, 1-2 times a week.

 Note:  This product contains a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Always conduct a patch test before use on unbroken skin.

• The Ordinary recommends to apply the product as directed to a small area once a day for three days to test if you are sensitive to this product.

• Should you develop severe irritation, hives, swelling of eyes and mouth, blistering, or difficulty breathing: rinse off, cease use and consult your local physician immediately.

• Keep out of reach from children.
