A part of the bunch in The Ordinary’s lineup of Salicylic Acid treatments, the Salicylic Acid Anhydrous 2% Solution is a water-free formula that creates a slow-release salicylic acid – a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) – that works to decongest skin and regulate oil production to make way for improved clarity and texture. 

The superstar BHA helps to exfoliate dead skin cells that are trapped deep within the pores which typically shows up on the skin as uneven texture, blocked blemishes, blackheads and whiteheads. This non-irritating formula balances its purifying properties with a soothing squalane and hydrating polyglycerides that help to slowly release the active ingredient into your skin, so you can reap all the goodness of BHA without the irritation. 

Ideal for those who are new to salicylic acid or simply prefer a gentler approach to deep exfoliation.

HOW TO USE

• After cleansing, apply a few drops to palm then pat or massage across face and neck until absorbed.

• The serum can be used on the entire face or as a spot treatment.

Use in the AM and/or PM.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Do not use on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin.

• Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes.

• Always conduct a patch test before use on unbroken skin.

• If you develop irritation, hives, swelling of eyes and mouth, blistering, or difficulty breathing, rinse immediately, cease use of product and consult a physician right away.

• Keep out of reach from children.

• Supplied in UV-protective brown tinted glass bottle to reduce light degradation of the product.

✴︎ Salicylic Acid: Also known as a beta hydroxy acid (BHA), it helps to exfoliate dead skin cells and also penetrates deeper into pores, removing congestion and clogged pores that cause blackheads, whiteheads and pimples.

✴︎ Squalane: A plant-derived emollient ingredient that can also be found in natural human skin sebum, it is a rich source of fatty acids and antioxidants that offers lightweight hydration.

✴︎ Polyglycerides: A mixture of triglycerides (oleic, linoleic, and linolenic) created from sunflower oil using green, Ecocert approved technology. An emollient ingredient with water-binding and skin-plumping benefits.
